5. GB/T 9CrSi Tool Steel Heat Treatment
Annealing: Heat GB/T 9CrSi steel to 780-800°C (1436-1472°F), hold for 2 hours, and furnace cool to 500°C at ≤30°C/h. Final hardness: ≤229 HB.
Quenching: Oil or salt bath quench from 820-860°C (1508-1580°F) for uniform hardness.
Tempering: Temper at 180-250°C (356-482°F) for 1-2 hours. Double tempering recommended to achieve 60-64 HRC with minimal residual stress.
