5. DIN 1.2767 Tool Steel Heat Treatment

  • Annealing: 660-680°C for 6-8 hours, hardness ≤260 HB.

  • Quenching: Oil or air cool from 830-860°C.

  • Tempering: 100-600°C for stress relief and hardness adjustment (52-54 HRC). Double tempering recommended for dimensional stability
